Era Lou Sawyer age 78 of Odessa, TX, passed away March 08, 2014 at University Medical Center in Lubbock after a brief illness.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sawyer will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clay Giddens officiating under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sawyer was born on July 23, 1935 in Tyler, TX to Oliver Lee and LeLona (McIlhaney) Ward. She married James Sawyer on July 21, 1955 in Snyder, TX. He preceded her in death on Aprill 11, 2001.
She is survived by:
1 Daughter - Diane Cagle, Odessa, TX
3 Grandsons -
Paul Sawyer, Fairbanks, AK
Jack Brewster, Kenai, AK
James Sawyer, Anchorage, AK
1 Granddaughter- Crystal Kowell, Spokane, WA
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Jimmy Sawyer; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
