Mr. Hazel Edward Underwood, 79 of Snyder,TX , went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2015 in Snyder.

Funeral Services for Mr. Underwood will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 , at 3:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Rev. Quita Jones officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Underwood was born on December 31, 1935 in Hobbs, TX to Thomas J. and Velma Kate (Bassham) Underwood . He married Vetta May (Phillips) on November 12, 1955 in Sweetwater, TX. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a longtime resident of Snyder, was a roughneck for 46 years and loved the oilfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Son, Carl Ray Underwood;
3 brothers, William (Bill) D. Underwood, Doyle Underwood and Morris Eugene Underwood; 4 Sisters, Ellen Claxton, Ann Shipp, Faye Sutterfield and Media Mae Butler.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
