Darla Kay (Smith) McCarter age 46 died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her residence in Garland, Texas.

Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Darla was born July 7, 1973 in Snyder, Texas to (James) Pat Smith and (Virginia) Sue Smith. Darla was a nurse in the Snyder area for 20 years. She worked many of those years at both Snyder Oaks and Snyder Nursing Home, starting as a nurses’ aid before finishing school to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). She loved caring for people and had a knack for relating with her elderly patients, able to get even the most ornery to crack a smile. She later worked in the emergency room at Cogdell Memorial Hospital and Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.

She is survived by:
