In Loving Memory of Darrell Ray Reston

Darrell Ray Reston, age 67, of Snyder, Texas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Darrell was the beloved husband to his wife, Pam Reston, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his son, Derek Scott Reston, and a proud grandfather to Skyler Reston and Cyan Lane.

Darrell loved God, his family, his little dog Rupert, and helping others. He was a man who was always willing to lend a hand, and his kindness and willingness to serve others touched many lives.

Darrell dedicated 37 years of his life to Wilson Motors Ford before retiring. He also proudly served his community as a volunteer firefighter in Snyder for more than 15 years, including serving as treasurer during his time with the department.

Sports were another special part of Darrell's life. He helped coach Little League baseball and later found a special love for girls' softball. He enjoyed coaching and encouraging young players and was blessed to share that experience with his wife, Pam, who supported him as his assistant coach. Together, they made many memories on the ball field and in the lives of the young people they helped.

Darrell was preceded in death by his baby sister, Robin Reston; his father, Max Reston; his mother, Claudine; several aunts and uncles; and both sets of grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pam Reston; his son, Derek Scott Reston; grandchildren, Skyler Kay Reston and Cyan Lane; brothers, Donnie Reston and wife Debbie of Lubbock, and Roger Reston and wife Serena of Waxahachie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Darrell's life was one of love, faith, family, service, and helping others. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of the many people whose lives he touched. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and in the presence of the God he loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 6 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Pastor Roger Preston and Chaplain Nathan Hines officiating.
