Esteven Aguilar Fuentez

November 28, 1950 — July 4, 2025

Snyder

Mr. Steven Fuentez, 74, of Snyder, TX, passed away on Friday, July 4th , 2025, at his home in Snyder, TX. Services for Mr. Fuentes will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Esteven was born on November 28th, 1950, to Hilario and Anastasia (Augilar) Fuentez.

He married Barbara Matos on May 30th, 1986.

Steve, as he was known to everybody, had four daughters, Cheyenne Fuentez, Jane Fuentez, Janet Fuentes, and Janice Castaneda (triplets). He had three stepchildren Janie Martinez Desch, Christopher Rincones, and Michelle Rincones Valdez. He was a very loving dad and especially grandfather. Let this be known that he was all three of his daughter’s rock! Steve worked as a custodian at Cogdell Memorial Hospital and for the Snyder Independent School District. Although he worked at these facilities for many years, his passion was ranching. He loved to be outside with his chickens and goats. His best friend was his dad. That was his sidekick. They were always together, and best friends through it all. Whether it be getting into trouble or just being together doing ranching stuff. Through and through this was his passion as well as caring for his two grandchildren Jovanni and Cruzito. He loved his grandsons with all his heart. He had all girls, so having seven grandsons was like having his own personal sons to which he treated like his own. He was the type of man who would give the shirt off his back to help his family as well as anyone in need. He was a very selfless man. Although my dad struggled with his illness, he fought to his very last breath. He was a fighter, never giving up. He was “The Best There Ever Was.”
