Jeannette was born in Scurry County May 4, 1930 to parents Perry Francis Harmon and Lizzie Mae (Brooks) Harmon. She grew up on the family farm at Union and attended the Crowder two-room school before transferring to Snyder schools where she graduated from Snyder High School in 1947. Following Dr. Jones' retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Brice. Jeannette was a woman of many talents including sewing, crocheting items from small Christmas tree ornaments, afghans, large tablecloths and wall hanging works of art, macramé, painting both pictures and craft items, quilting, and she was an excellent cook and baker who canned fruits and vegetables grown in their garden; Bob's coworkers were always envious of the wonderful food she packed in his lunch box every day. She loved music and it was her daily ritual to play record albums as the family woke up and got ready for school and work. She also loved to read, play 42 with family and friends, and caring for pets throughout her life.
She is survived by daughters Teresa Rylander of San Angelo, Lyndia Allen and Gabrielle Ivey of Snyder, step-daughter Nancy Ivey Frank of Hot Springs, Arkansas, grandchildren Kaylee Ann Ivey and Christian Dulaney of Snyder, nieces Xan Harris of Midland and Donna Harris of Hamilton, cousin Hattie Jane Ferguson of Lorenzo, Texas, and numerous nephews and their children.
