Josefina Canales

Mrs. Josefina Canales, 90, of Snyder, TX, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at her home in Snyder. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Albert Devanesan officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Canales was born on April 8, 1936, to Secundino and Cresencia (Cortez) Garcia in Acuna, Coahuila, in Mexico. She was married to Rumaldo Canales, and together they had 8 children. Josefina was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She was also a proud and devout Catholic member, and a part of the choir at Our Lady of Guadalupe. She leaves the legacy of being a dedicated member for over 70 years.

Salvador Canales II and wife Irene of Snyder, TX,

Reynaldo Canales and wife Linda of Corpus Christi, TX;

Delfina Lopez of Snyder, TX;

9 Grandchildren;

and 19 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her,

Secundino and Cresencia Garcia;

Rumaldo Canales;

Diana Denson,

Noemi Pemberton;

2 Sons,

Feliciano Canales,

Salvador Canales;

3 Sisters;

and 4 Brothers.

A Rosary will be recited from 6-7 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, led by Deacon John Bane, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
