Joyce Nell Flowers

Joyce Nell Flowers, known as Mickey to her family and friends, went home to her Dear Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 13, 2026. A graveside service for Mrs. Flowers will be held at 2PM Sun, May 17, 2026, at Ira Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.Mickey was born to Jim W. and Opal Eloise Brown, Jan 19, 1937 in Snyder, TX. She married Joe Bob Flowers, 07/14/1955, in Ira, TX. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Hamm of Kingwood, and sister-in-law, Janet Brown of Ira, along with two nephews. Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, Jim W. and Opal Eloise Brown, husband, Joe Bob Flowers, brother, James R Brown, and brother-in-law, Ken Hamm.

Mickey and Joe Bob had six children. Walter and wife Vicki Flowers of Crowley, LaNell and husband Stephen Dean of Kingsbury, Betty Ann and husband Methis (Macky) Williams of Water Valley, Karen Kay and husband Wes Theirs of Mertzon, Bob Flowers of Ira, Debbie and husband Monte Moore of Uvalde. She was a loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren with 2 more expected in the near future.

Mickey was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She did work in the Coke County Appraisal District office as well as the Scurry County Appraisal District office for several years.
