Melbern Lee Heard

Mr. Melbern Lee Heard, 79, of Ira, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his home in Ira, TX. A graveside service for Mr. Heard will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Ira Cemetery, with Reverend Rocky Alexander officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Melbern was born on May 26, 1947, to Daryl and Lee (Matthews) Heard in New Braunfels, TX. He married Lora Anderson on June, 1965, she preceded him in death June 20, 2023.

Andrea Velasquez and husband Pete of Ira, TX;

1 Sister,

Linda Dian Jenkins of Fort Worth, TX;

1 Grandson,

Jonathan Velasquez of Ira, TX;

and Great-Grandson,

Landon Velasquez of Snyder, TX.

He was preceded in death by his,

Parents,

Daryl and Lee Heard;

and Wife,

Lora Heard.
