Norma Sue Travis

Mrs. Norma Sue Travis, 89, of Snyder, TX, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. A graveside service for Mrs. Travis will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. 

Sue was born on January 1, 1937 in Eastland, Texas to Elbert Wesley Gourley and Susan Charlotte Claxton. She married Bob Travis on July 4, 1954 in Eastland, Texas. He preceded her in death December 13, 2021. Sue and Bob moved to Snyder in 1976 to raise their family. She owned and operated Travis Flowers for many years. She was a coaches wife and loved basketball and Texas Tech football. Sue loved her family and she never met a stranger.

She is survived by, daughter Shelly Turner and husband Jeff of Snyder, TX.; son Clay Travis and wife Nicole of Fort Worth, TX.; son Drew Travis and wife Malli of Lubbock, TX.; 7 grandchildren Landon Bowers; Chas Stroud; Ashley Fritz; Rachel Turner; Kevin Travis; Scott Travis;Tate Travis; 5 great-grandchildren; Stryder Smith; Karlee Bowers; Dax Bowers; Raylea Bowers; Declan Fritz.

She was preceded in death by Husband, Bob Travis; Parents Elbert and Susan Gourley; Daughter, Kelly Travis; Brother Jack Gourley; Brother, Gene Gourley. 

A visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2028 from 6-7 PM to Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
