Robert E. Fowler (Bob)
May 9, 1950 – July 10, 2026
Snyder, Texas
Bob Fowler, 76, of Snyder, Texas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 10, 2026. He was born in Artesia, New Mexico, on May 9, 1950, the only child of Horace and Luvenia Fowler. Bob was a hardworking man who loved life, family, and the outdoors. An avid reader, he enjoyed many authors, especially Louis L’Amour. He often read late into the night, and although he had read those stories many times, he said the story stayed the same while the scenery changed in his mind.
Bob spent much of his life working in the oil fields alongside his father at Calley & Fowler Oil Company, a family-owned production company, before it was sold in 1992.
In 1992, Bob purchased the old Diamond M Ranch in Scurry County and renamed it the Arrowhead Ranch. He loved working the land and caring for the animals, often saying he could see God’s hand in everything around him. As his health declined, he spent his time reading, watching old westerns, telling stories, and advising his ranch partners on how to run the ranch. He also enjoyed giving the oil companies on the land a hard time.
He is survived by:
Cousin and ranch partner Dennis Taylor and his wife, Rhonda, of Snyder, Texas
Cousin and ranch partner Justin Taylor; his wife, Ashton; and their children, Paxton and Tennyson, of Snyder, Texas
Cheyann Taylor Carr and Husband Jerrod and children Jordan and Mason
Two stepdaughters:
Emilee Taylor Suchil and her husband, Phillip, of Lubbock, Texas
Stacey Taylor of Lubbock, Texas
Four grandchildren:
Cody Marrow and his wife, Rori; Ian Suchil; Akyla Taylor; and Merick Taylor Planks
He is also survived by numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by:
