Mr. Rodney Glass, 64, of Snyder, TX, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. A funeral service for Mr. Glass will be held at 10 AM, Monday, June 22, 2026, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Rodney Cole Glass was born September 17, 1961 to Margaret and Wayne Glass in Snyder Tx. He and his big sister Julie had a fun childhood together, involving antics like jumping from the top of a well house with a bedsheet attempting to soar like a human kite. He always loved farming and even plowed rows into the carpet when he was a young child.

After high school Rodney continued to farm with his dad Wayne, and ended up getting set up on a blind date with Jana Mullis by a mutual family friend, Wanda Short.

Jana and Rodney were married on August 1st, 1987 and were blessed with a daughter, Sydney, five years later.

Even though Rodney was known to be a bit on the quiet side, he made many friends in not only Scurry County from all but across the country.

Rodney loved Western Swing music, Texas Tech, was a true supporter of the FFA (Future Farmers of America), and loved show pigs. He helped with the Snyder FFA while Sydney was in school, as well as Western Texas College agriculture programs as a “mid-wife” helping with baby pigs or anything else needed.

The family would like to offer the sincerest thanks and gratitude for all the friendships and especially the help offered with this year’s crop. We are overwhelmed by the love and support we have received from the community, and Rodney knew and mentioned he was also grateful for the help.
