Roxie Angel (also known as mom and Nanny) of Snyder, Texas, went to her heavenly home on Saturday morning, October 26, 2025. She was 98 and living at Goodlife Assisted Living.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 28th at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Kinney Robinson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
Roxie was born on April 16, 1927 in Boswell, Oklahoma to Kirk and Ethel Holland. She married Lloyd Angel on July 14, 1945 in Wister, Oklahoma. They came to west Texas during the oil boom of the 40s and 50s and finally settled in Snyder in the late 50s to raise their family.
Roxie spent the majority of her working life as the Children's Librarian at the Scurry County Library. Part of her responsibility was driving the Book Mobile to the small county schools.
Roxie is survived by her daughter, Triesta Lilly (Troy) of Snyder, Texas and son, Travis Angel (Charlotte) of Bryan, Texas.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Kirk and Ethel Holland, Lloyd, her husband of 49 years, infant twin sons and 12 brothers and sisters of which she was the youngest.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Goodlife Building A and West Texas Hospice for their compassion, love and patience in their care of our mom and Nanny.
Roxie will be remembered for her love of Christ and guiding her family toward a faith in Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held following the Celebration of Life in the Fellowship Hall of Colonial Hill.
