Shirley Ann Wells

Mrs. Shirley "Bird" Ann Wells, 88, of Snyder, TX, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. A funeral service for Mrs. Wells will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Minister Dorothy Gayten and James Wells Officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wells was born on October 26, 1937, to Sterling and Lillie Mae (Cannady) Watkins in Greensboro, NC. Bird married the love of her life James H. Wells Sr. in September 1955, in Winston-Salem, N.C.. He preceded her in death in the year 2000. Mrs. Wells will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
